Song of ice and fire 6th book release date
The Winds of Winter by George R.R. MartinThe Winds of Winter is the forthcoming sixth novel in the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.
The previous installment, A Dance with Dragons, covered less story than Martin intended, omitting at least one planned large battle sequence and leaving several character threads ending in cliffhangers. Martin intends to resolve these cliffhangers very early in The Winds of Winter, saying Im going to open with the two big battles that I was building up to, the battle in the ice and the battle at Meereen—the battle of Slavers Bay. And then take it from there.

There are characters who never made it onto the screen at all, and others who died in the show but still live in the books… so if nothing else, the readers will learn what happened to Jeyne Poole, Lady Stoneheart, Penny and her pig, Skahaz Shavepate, Arianne Martell, Darkstar, Victarion Greyjoy, Ser Garlan the Gallant, Aegon VI, and a myriad of other characters both great and small that viewers of the show never had the chance to meet. But hey, I thought the same thing last year.
A Song of Ice and Fire should theoretically continue one day soon with Winds of Winter … if Martin ever finishes writing it. Among the information we have is news about how a shocking series finale choice could also be included in Winds of Winter , as casually revealed by actor Isaac Hempstead Wright in late May ,
