Barbie: A Dress-Up Day by Heidi Kilgras

I really dislike the whole idea about labeling a book Step 1, ready to read and then seeing difficult vocabulary in the book. It is confusing for first-time Moms trying to teach their kids to read. These books are not for young early readers to actually pick up and read. At least this is my opinion. If the publishers actually think a beginner reader will understand two vowel combinations, consonant blends, compound words and long vowel words they are mistaken. What this book does have is large type and choppy sentences. Horrible to read to my kids.

Celebs Dressed as Barbies Is the Rabbit Hole You Didn't Know You Needed in Your Life

We received this Barbie free to test. My daughter, age 5, absolutely love it. The barbie came with 2 pairs of shoes, a crown, necklace, 2 tops, 2 skirts, mermaid fin and wings. My daughter had so much fun just changing her. She played with her for a solid hour out of box just changing the dolls looks. My 2 nieces age 4 have since begged to have dolls of their own just like her. She has been a hit.

She showed off the ensemble by posing in a life-sized, hot-pink Barbie doll box, as seen in the photos below taken by photographer Greg Swales.
